bq. - I have taken all comments previously made on board and added sourced comments on (virtually) all subsequent amendments. See my notification history for all the times I have explained why changes are required with evidence. This time I did not add significant detail, it was 1.30 in the morning.
If this site moderated the setlists being entered better I (and others) would not need to make so many amendments (as good samaritans).
I've made over 15,000 amendments, with 31 just this month and this is the first time since September 2021 that you have had any issue with my evidence for an amendment. I am clearly an exemplary contributor.

The mods are all volontary and there's about 30 or so of them. We can't control everything. Sometimes users warn us of suspicious behavior. I haven't controlled everything you've done over the past year.
E.g. you haven't followed up on the Springsteen issue, nor on the Deacon Blue https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/deacon-blue/2018/eventim-apollo-london-england-6b970e46.html#sfmsesg53dc6f4d ...
We'll lift the temporary stop and see how you follow up.

bq. I normally do add sources to all amendments I make. I did not add further sources in this case as it is obvious that midge ure is playing the song "Mine for Life" by Ultravox (which he wrote) and not a new original composition which happens to have the same title. There are already many entries in his setlists for this song as a cover and when entering it came up as a predetermined cover, but I noticed there was another option which not as a cover, so I went back and changed the erroneous error so that the predetermined entry for "Mine for Life" is only the cover. I am assisting future contributors.

I make every effort to comply with the guidelines and will continue to do so. However perhaps you should aim your comments at people who enter obviously erroneous entries (some setlists are a joke when it comes to attributing original artists) and not people who correct the errors and in doing so stop the statistics from becoming distorted.

It's strange that you only come back to me on my profile page when measures have been taken. You were told several times before to list sources to proof your edit. As you can read underneath you may be a fan of Deacon Blue, Barry Manilow, Meat Loaf, Ultravox or Midge Ure or anybody else, so this may be obvious to you but setlist.fm is a community.
You've also listed 'date from facebook' as a source...
PS Some people find it obvious that e.g. With a Little Help From My Friends is a Joe Cocker original. So what you or somebody else finds evident might not be the truth.

You may well be a huge fan of certain groups but amending original cover artist is not a valid source. Please use in future a link which proofs your statement.
This is the fourth or fifth such warning.
Come back on my profile page with the promise you will be starting using such sources.
Until then your editing prvileges are revoked.

Brighton Dome Concert Hall is part of the wider Brighton Dome complex of buildings and while many of the shows listed at the Brighton Dome were probably held at the Concert Hall not all of them were. The venues should not be merged. Any performance spaces within a complex should be listed separately if possible.

There is No need to put the source on my profile page but on the setlist.
Continue to do so in future

Date from Facebook is too vague too, give us the link please.

Already on August 5 I asked you to justify your edit instead of writing using correct title as a source.
So here again are some more reasons, hope you understand, it's not that difficult.

I noticed you mentioned just what you did setlists to bypass the mandatory edit comment feature.

"Be sure to explain why you edited the setlist. Don't explain what you've edited as this is obvious to the viewer."
Setlist.fm is a wiki-effort, and it is important for us all to be as transparent and clear as possible in sharing information. To ensure that edits are verified for other users, and to avoid unnecessary discussions and save a lot of time in the future, edit comments have been made mandatory for all users.

Thanks!

Hello

You may have good knowledge about Deacon Blue, Barry Manilow and Meat Loaf. So make it easier for others by using a source instead of a statement which need to be searched and verified.

I also modified Snow Queen which was covered a couple of times.
"Wasn't Born to Follow" was also on the same The City album but known as "I Wasn't Born to Follow"

Thanks for (although I didn't find where dlmc made his remark)
user/dlmc has pointed out that the song "Hi De Ho" credited to Carle King was first released on the album "Now That Everything's Been Said" by The City. Carole King was the lead singer and songwriter of The City. Therefore should the song which was noted as "That Old Sweet Roll (Hi-De-Ho)" on that album be credited to that album and by The City. That album also included "I Wasn't Born to Follow" which was made famous by a Byrds cover and is on Setlist as "Wasn't Born to Follow" by Carole King.
Both these songs are on Musicbrainz on The City album, however, I cannot make the entries trigger The City album in the statistics. Can you help?

You are correct. I reread the guidelines and noted that exception after I sent the message. Thanks for clarifying. :)

I’ve just been labelling it as ‘Warmth - Outro’. I know it’s a different song and that’s how it’s been labelled on every previous setlist. It’s other people that have been labelling it as the other song.

Done, but the song is from Robert Hazard, not Richard Hazzard.

See my comment above your edit
translated when a cover is sung in another language, the songtitle is written as the translated version

Thanks, I have moved the pre-2000 setlists to the "Concorde" venue and added some information to the venue page.

Thanks for the info on the Concorde. I will work on correcting it. If you could come up with an address for the first one that would be great. If I find one I will let you know.
Later today if you could check on what I enter on the venue pages to see if it loos okay I would appreciate it.
Cheers,
Ben

It's not the popularity of the songs that bug me but the style. Stylistically they are two different songs which is why I think they should be separate. Lauper's style is more upbeat and changes the whole tone of the song which Urie was trying to emulate.
