The holiday season is back and with it comes the most treasured of holiday traditions; Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden show. The iconic crooner announced last night, December 11, that this performance marks the 71st consecutive sold-out residency show for the artist, who has been playing at the Garden almost monthly since 2014.

Billy Joel is one of the most iconic singer-songwriters of all time, with almost 50 years of experience and a discography that spans thirteen studio albums, making his Madison Square Garden show a treat to every Billy Joel fan. Whether you are a longtime fan or a casual listener, Joel's impact on popular music is so large, it is impossible that you don't know the tune to "We Didn't Start the Fire," making his MSG show an experience for all.

This time of year brings a special treat to Joel's show; an addition of his greatest Christmas hits to his already-impressive setlist. With a 26-song setlist, Joel didn't disappoint as he played some of his most famous songs like "The Longest Time" as well as deeper cuts like "The Entertainer." Check out the insane setlist below!

The icon kicks his show off with "I Go to Extremes," which garnered a standing ovation from the crowd before moving into a medley of his hits, from the piano-driven "Vienna" to the acapella classic "The Longest Time," sprinkling tiny personal stories in between, such as how he recognizes "She's Right on Time" is the closest he came to writing a Christmas song. Joel proceeds to bring out his daughter Alexa Ray Joel on stage to perform an array of holiday songs, from "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" to "White Christmas," proving that father is like daughter with both delivering equally rich and smooth performances. Joel then begins to perform some deeper cuts, joking to the audience that the setlist is full of "non-hits" as he sings "Zanzibar" from his 1978 album 52nd Street. Joel then brings out an array of different instrumentalists such as a flutist that joined him on "She's Always a Woman." The star knows what the audience has come for, however, as he closes his main set with his greatest hits, namely "Piano Man," which leaves the entire audience humming the familiar tune.
