Trey Anastasio Kicks Off Beacon Jams w/ 16 Songs, 5 Live Debuts

Trey Anastasio kicked off his Beacon Jams series over the weekend on October 9th. The livestream residency takes place at The Beacon Theatre in New York City and he'll be performing every Friday for the next seven weeks. Fans can watch the livestream via Twitch.

Night one featured the Trey Anastasio Band as his backing band: bassist Tony Markellis, drummer Russ Lawton, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and percussionist Cyro Baptista. They performed a 16-song setlist that featured FIVE live debuts off Anastasio's latest solo album, Lonely Trip, which features songs he wrote while quarantined in his apartment in NYC.

The set opened up strangely on brand with "Corona" before going into his first Phish song of the night - "Blaze On." Seven Phish songs made up the setlist, including licks like "Shade," "Sand," a stripped down version of "Stash," and "Everything's Right."

The first debut of the night was "I Never Left Home." The other four live premieres were as follows: "A Wave of Hope," "If I Could See the World," "When The Words Go Away," "...And Flew Away."

The TAB ended the set on Phish number "46 Days." During the set, Anastasio also took time to respond to some comments from the livestream. Check out the setlist below:
