Behemoth Played 19-Song Set with a Live Debut in Abandoned Church

Behemoth delivered their masterful In Absentia Dei performance on September 5th in an abandoned church in Poland for their Legions across the world. It was the same church where the band filmed the music video for their song “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel.”

The special livestream set featured 19-songs, broken up into four acts, and was filmed in 4K for the ultimate viewing experience. This concert marked the most songs Behemoth has performed live, according to the frontman Nergal.

The entire set is very visually stimulating, with flames, atmospheric lighting and other additions to magnify the songs such as a woman dancing on a flaming lyra during "Antichristen Phenomenon," or when they suspended a woman with ropes and hooks in crucifix style during “Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer."

The first act of the show opens right off with the live debut of "Evoe" off their newest EP, A Forest. It also includes two deep cuts that Behemoth unearthed - "Prometherion" for the first time since 2011 and "From the Pagan Vastlands" for the first time since 2009.

Later on during Act IV, they start of with another rarity - "Sculpting the Throne ov Seth," for the first time since 2015. The Polish black metal rockers manage to fit in 10 out of 11 of their full length albums into the setlist, with Demigod and The Satanist getting the most plays.
