Yesterday, August 6th, Britpop rockers Ride performed a very special, ticketed livestream event from a private venue in London, which fans guessed was Omeara. The livestream itself had to be aborted, due to broadcast issues at the venue. But Ride recorded the gig and sent fans a link today, August 7th.
“It’ll be a full set of classics and newly loved songs from This Is Not A Safe Place, broadcast loud and fully amped from an intimate, secret location,” read the event description ahead of the performance. “Following their set, Ride will also be hosting a Q&A. To commemorate the event, all ticket holders will have access to purchase limited edition merchandise featuring exclusive reprints of classic '90s Ride designs.”
The 13-song setlist was indeed filled with career-sprawling licks. It opened up with "Jump Jet" and "Future Love" off their newest album This Is Not A Safe Place.
Older favorites included performances of "Leave Them All Behind," "Moonlight Medicine," "Twisterella," "Taste," "Vapour Trail," and set ender, "Chelsea Girl."
