CSNY Played a 30-Song Set on David Crosby's Birthday in 1974

Today, August 14th, the legendary David Crosby turns 79-years-young, and the folk pioneer shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, just the past few years, Crosby has continued to release album-after-album and tour more rigorously than ever. Not only that, but his mind is still sharper then, erm, most:

We want to celebrate this iconic man by taking a look into our Setlist Time Machine, back to his birthday in 1974, when Cros reunited with one of his many famed bands - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

One of the stops on this reunion tour landed on his birthday, August 14th, at the famous Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. This tour garnered some of the biggest venues they had played. The four talented rockers put on their best display as they slayed through a 30-song setlist full of original tracks and renditions of their own solo work.

The set opened up with Stephen Stills' "Love the One You're With." The setlist carried a majority of Stills' solo licks, and none of Crosbys (He had one solo album out at the time). But they did do some CSN and CN tracks like "Wooden Ships," "Time After Time," and "Carry Me."

CSNY cuts that made the set included "Helpless," "Almost Cut My Hair," "Our House," "Deja Vu," and the two-song encore: "Ohio" and "Carry On."
