The Who Introduces An Orchestra During The Moving On! Tour
On favorite Who songs to perform in the orchestra:
"I love conducting the 'Tommy' overture, 'We're Not Going to Take It,' 'Pinball Wizard...'" - Keith Levenson, Conductor
"'Baba O'Riley' is very near and dear to my heart." - Katie Jacoby, Violinist
On rehearsing:
"The Orchestra is made up of musicians in each city. Really, it's just a matter of getting everyone on the same page." - Audrey Snyder, Cellist
"I have 1pm-4pm with the orchestra alone, 4pm-430pm with the band alone, 430pm-530pm with the orchestra AND the band... It's a long day!" - Levenson
On windmilling:
"I've been a Who fan since middle school. I tried to do 'windmills' on my violin and nearly split my head open with my bow. So, we'll leave the windmilling to Pete." - Jacoby
On new music:
"With a new record coming out, new material is going to be slowly introduced." - Daltrey
"Roger wants to do two songs from the record. I'm really pleased with the songs I wrote, I took a year out and I spent three months of last year writing songs." - Townshend
"It sounds like a Who record, but it sounds like a Who record that is 2019." - Levenson
