Setlist Spoilers: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard World Tour '19

Hey, Gizzheads! If you haven't already heard, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are grooving through North America on their World Tour '19.

Members Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Cook Craig, Joey Walker, Lucas Skinner, Michael Cavanagh and Eric Moore kicked off the North American leg of their World Tour on August 13 in Los Angeles and are scheduled to wrap things up September 6 in Dallas.

The past few years have been pretty monumental for the seven-piece from Down Under. The band released FIVE new albums in 2017 alone, and followed up with some reissues in 2018. This year, they've released two additional records, Fishing for Fishies and their latest installment, Infest the Rats' Nest.

Infest the Rats' Nest, released August 16, explores some thrash metal territory and features previously released singles "Cyboogie," "Boogieman Sam" and "Organ Farmer."

The Gizz go full-blown metal on the new record, and fans at their live shows have been reaping the benefits. Want to know what you can expect from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard on their 2019 North American run? We have the details!

What do they open with?

Always ones to keep things interesting, King Gizzard have been switching up their opening song each night. They’ve opened with “Self-Immolate” 10 times so far, “Venusian 2” five times and “Planet B” four times.

And what do they close with?

That’s a loaded question. They’ve closed with a different song each night, including: “The Bitter Boogie,” “The River,” “Hell,” “Self-Immolate,” “Cyboogie,” “Planet B,” “Organ Farmer,” “Mars for the Rich,” “Head On/Pill” and “The Wheel.”

Watch them perform "Planet B" in front of a very lit Portland audience!

What does their average setlist look like?

Because they switch things up so frequently, it's hard to narrow it down to one average setlist. Take a look at one of their recent setlists, though, from their August 21 show at Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado!
