Setlist Highlights From Metallica's 2019 European WorldWired Tour

Metallica's European leg of their WorldWired Tour is coming down to the wire... pun intended.

The European tour, coming in continued support for their 2016 record Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, features support from Ghost and Bokassa.

The band kicked things off on May 1 in Lisbon, Portugal at the Estadio do Restelo and are scheduled to wrap things up August 25 in Mannheim, Germany at Maimarktgelade.

But don't worry Metallica fans– the tour itself is supposed to run through April 2020. (The first date of the WorldWired tour commenced on February 6, 2016!)

Check out some highlights from their massive European trek below!

May 1 – Lisbon, Portugal

On the tour's opening night at the Estadio de Restelo, the band debuted their new 18-song set, boasting deep cuts like "Disposable Heroes" which hadn't been played on tour since 2015, "The God that Failed," for the first time since 2012 and "Frantic," for the first time since 2011.

May 8 – Milan, Italy

Metallica rocked out at the Milano Summer Festival 2019 with their full 18-song setlist.

What made this show so special was the debut of their new taped intro music to "Halo on Fire," which they've been playing before Kirk and Rob play some solos including "El Diablo" and "Orion."
