Dashboard Confessional Cover Post Malone in Livestream Event

Last night, April 29th, Dashboard Confessional went live for "As Social As I Get Now," an event that featured Chris Carrabba performing an intimate career-spanning set, livestreamed on the DC website. The three-hour stream was $5.00 and all the profits benefit Music Health Alliance. Spotify matched the donations through their COVID-19 Music Relief project!

The livestream event featured Carrabba in his well-lit studio, surround by his guitars, performing songs acoustically. He gave fans all over the globe a chance to feel the closest they can to being at a show, as he gave them a setlist made of gold and impeccable sound quality to boot. He not only raised money for a good cause, but he raised spirits too.

He did covers like Twin Forks' "Back to You" and stripped back versions of DC fan favorites like "The Swiss Army," "Hands Down," "As Lovers Go," "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most," and "Vindicated." He did newer songs too, like "Burning Heart."

Carrabba even treated fans to a cut from his Further Seems Forever days, "The Moon is Down." Watch him hit that high note when he sings "after the fire" because it's pretty damn impressive.

The best surprise, however, came when he covered Post Malone's "Circles."

His rendition of Posty's hit song dropped today as a Spotify single, along with a reimagined version of "Screaming Infidelities," both recorded earlier this year at Electric Lady Studios in NYC.
