Mike Shinoda Kicks Off His European "Post Traumatic Tour"

Mike Shinoda, of Linkin Park and Fort Minor, kicked off his “Post Traumatic European Tour” in Berlin on Saturday, March 2nd!

The tour is in support of Shinoda’s first solo project of the same name, which was released last summer. The album topped the Top Rock and Alternative Albums charts and peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, while charting in the top ten in many European countries like Germany and Switzerland.

Shinoda wrote his album in the wake of the tragic death of his Linkin Park cofounder, Chester Bennington.

“It’s a journey out of grief and darkness, not into grief and darkness. If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone. If they haven’t been through this, I hope they feel grateful.”

Though Shinoda has also said it is too early to think about where Linkin Park will go after being struck with tragedy, fans have appreciated the artist's solo work, and share in the grief he has channeled into his new music.

Shinoda played a mix of Fort Minor, Linkin Park, and his own tracks from the new album. Every step of the way, Shinoda has always made sure to make his fans feel involved. In Berlin, he even invited a fan onto to perform "In The End" on piano.

Shinoda brought up Jennifer Weist of German rock band Jennifer Rostock on the stage to help him sing Linkin Park's "A Place for My Head."

The following night in Bremen, Germany, Shinoda live debuted "Prove You Wrong" during the extended encore.
