The 1975 kicked off their UK Music for Cars Tour last night at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
The English four-piece performed a stacked, 23-song set, and treated fans to two (2!) live debuts from their forthcoming album, Notes on a Conditional Form, due April 24th via Dirty Hit and Polydor Records.
They opened the set with the boisterous "People," before performing a handful of favorites like "Sex," "TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME" and "Sincerity Is Scary."
After "It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)," they debuted their first new track, "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)." The song was previously referred to as "The Birthday Party," and today, Healy shared a cryptic Instagram post of that title.
Here's a closer look so you can appreciate the dance moves and the mohawk.
"I wrote this song about how lucky I am to have such beautiful friends," Healy said, before getting into the next new song, "Guys."
A video montage of the band over the years flashed on the screen behind them, along with lyrics to the song, karaoke-style (as a treat).
Some other already-heard-new songs included "Me & You Together Song" and "Frail State of Mind." They wrapped up the main set with "I Like America & America Likes Me," "Somebody Else" and "I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes)," and closed out the show with a five-song encore of "Love It If We Made It," "Paris," "Chocolate," "Give Yourself a Try" and "The Sound."
