Slipknot Finish Strong w/ 17 Songs at Last Show of 2020 EU Tour

Continuing their ongoing We Are Not Your Kind tour, Slipknot jumped straight back on the road at the start of the new year. It appears they were just as eager to get back on stage as fans were to see them live once again.

Originally kicking off the tour at the end of last year in celebration of their most recent album release of the same name, Slipknot have already traveled across the globe since opening night.

Entitled We Are Not Your Kind, Slipknot’s sixth full-studio album has seen much success since its highly anticipated release nearly five years after their previous album drop. And with the help of this most recent run of dates, we can only imagine a steady growth moving forward.

Most recently hitting over twenty cities across the UK and Europe in just over a month, the metal legends have performed virtually non stop since the leg’s kickoff. Fortunately, they wrapped on the long leg last night in Helsinki, Finland.

Taking advantage of a handful of pre-recorded tracks playing before and after the complete sets, the larger-than-life characters fulfilled their full production potential in a successful attempt to impress a sold-out crowd.

Sporting their unmistakable masked personas, Slipknot utilized every inch of their multi-tiered stage setup and illuminating set design. And as every member managed to maneuver around the arrangement, it was Corey Taylor who was most impressive as he pushed through the entire show despite what he described as broken bones after an oxygen tank fell on his foot while coming to stage.

Despite the injury, Taylor and the rest of the band completed the show, and ultimately the tour, in pristine fashion. And with a solidified production backing them, they were sure to couple that with a setlist worthy of such a visually impressive setup.

Pulling mainly from Slipknot (1999), Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses) (2004) and of course, We Are Not Your Kind, Slipknot put together a 17-song setlist featuring consistent hits like “Unsainted,” “Before I Forget,” “Solway Firth,” “Wait and Bleed,” “Eyeless” and “Duality.”

But that was just the main set.

Clearly not content with an already impressive pairing of tracks, Slipknot returned to stage for a final bow of the tour alongside a three-song encore.

While not necessarily original to the tour, Slipknot ended their tour finale with three of their most-played songs live including “(sic),” “People = Shit” and “Surfacing.” Talk about giving the audience exactly what they craved.

With a large handful of tour dates still remaining in 2020, including Knotfest Japan, don’t take the end of this leg too seriously.
