Maroon 5 just kicked off the Latin American leg of their “2020 Tour” last night (February 23) in Mexico City, Mexico at Foro Sol. This leg of the tour wraps in Bogota, Colombia on March 14 at Parque Saltire Magico.
The band has not released an album since 2018, but they have announced they are working on a new album that will be out in time for some of the songs to hopefully make it on this tour's setlist.
The current 22-song set included Maroon 5 opening with “It Was Always You” and weaving in some of their biggest hits such as “Harder to Breathe,” “Moves Like Jagger” and “Sugar.”
As part of the kickoff, the band treated fans to a special surprise. Maroon 5 performed their song “Won’t Go Home Without You” for the first time live since January 20, 2014. This song was off of their 2007 album It Won’t Be Soon Before Long.
The band closed out opening night with a three song encore that carried "Memories," "She Will Be Loved" and “Girls Like You.”
