WATCH: Nickelback Look Back at What It Means to be a "Rockstar"

Nickelback just announced an exciting new tour where they will perform their seminal album All the Right Reasons in full, along with other beloved hits and fan favorites. Coming on the tour will be very special guests and fellow alt-rock stars Stone Temple Pilots - it'll be a summer outing you simply cannot miss!
While we patiently await for the tour, Nickelback wants to share with their fans a look back at the album's hit single "Rockstar." Watch the exclusive video below and find out if there's any truth behind the comical lyrics.
Nickelback - Rockstar
On the true silliness of the song:
"None of 'Rockstar' was autobiographical. It's just all suppose to be silly things kind of like - take everything that you think about when it comes to rock stardom and amplify it exponentially. That type of silliness is sort of what we wanted to do, and we're just coming up with all these silly, stupid things and the ones that made us chuckle. Anything where everyone in the room was like 'that's just dumb enough to go in the song.' And if you tie it in with a chorus that takes all the detailed things within the verse and just puts a little bow on it - you got yourself a song like 'Rockstar.'" - Chad Kroeger
On Billy Gibbons being in the song:
We were looking at each other and saying, 'why don't we ask someone else to come in and do a little guest appearance.' And someone said 'what about Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top?!' and all of us at the same time were like 'THAT would be cool.' So we built a call and answer thing and that's what turned into all the *low voice* 'tell me what you want, I'll have a quesadilla.' ... Uncle Billy is the best." - Kroeger
