Matchbox Twenty is gearing up to hit the road this summer with special guests The Wallflowers. The Matchbox Twenty 2020 Tour is set to kickoff July 17th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. CONNECTING WITH FANS
"I feel like that energy from the stage is somebody connecting with me, I walk away with a better experience."
"I still remember, I was front row at Billy Idol, I looked up and him and he went like this- and I was like oh that's the coolest thing ever, he did that to me!"
SHARED EXPERIENCE
"If you're ever going to like a really great comedy or a blockbuster in a full theater, that shared experience makes it funnier, or makes it sadder, or makes it bigger. And there's a feeling of community. I think when I got to a show, that's what I like to feel. I like the fact that I'm sharing this moment with everybody else and the band is sharing it with me too. You know, and they could be anywhere but they're right there in that room with us right now."
IN CONTROL OF THE MOMENT
"Sometimes just an entire show goes by, and you missed it, in a way. Like it just kind of happened and it's just a little bit out of your reach the entire time, and then sometimes it's happening in slow motion. And while it's happening, you're so completely aware of what the next thing you're going to do is, what your body's going to do, what your hands are going to do. You're gonna get over there, you're gonna make this- you're in that moment like it's happening in slow motion. Those feel really really cool. When you feel in control of the moment like that."
