Foreigner have announced 2020 dates of their Jukebox Heroes Tour. The amphitheater tour takes place this summer with special guest Kansas and featuring Europe. The Jukebox Heroes Tour is set to kickoff July 9th in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will wrap up on September 13th in Austin, Texas. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Foreigner's lead vocalist Kelly Hansen to talk about fan favorites, building setlists with such an expansive discography and memorable show moments- watch!
BIGGEST FAN FAVORITE
"Probably most for "I Wanna Know What Love Is." Because that was really number one around the world. And the cool thing about that one is no matter where we go in the world, everyone knows the words and everyone sings, it's just amazing."
BUILDING A SETLIST
"When trying to build a setlist, especially for a summer concert tour here in the U.S., we have a very good problem and that is we have 16 top 30's. But that makes it difficult to figure what songs we're going to leave out because we can't do all of them. And it's like I said, a good problem to have. If you're a singer for a living, you couldn't ask for a better thing than that kind of catalogue."
SHOW MOMENTS
"The moments in the show, for me, vary greatly from night to night, because there's so many variables. Is it an indoor or outdoor show? Is it warm or is it cold? Is it a weekend or a weekday? Is it a summer tour show where everyone paid their ticket specifically to come see you or was it like a state fair where we're at the fair and we're playing there? It changes the dynamic completely. And how is the band grooving? Because maybe it sounds especially good for us on that particular stage, and you really get into the rhythm of it. Or you just happen to lock in on a song one night, and then you lock in on another song on a another night. So that's what's great for us and makes it so it's never mundane."
