Setlist Spoilers: Motionless In White Diseased and Disguised Tour

Despite the occasional lineup change, metal legends Motionless In White have kept to a relatively consistent touring cycle, finding themselves on the road throughout much of the past decade.

Ending 2019 with a string of dates across Europe, MIW continued the trend into the new year, embarking on their most recent tour entitled the Diseased and Disguised tour.

The co-headlining run features MIW along with hardcore punk rockers Beartooth. Slated along the way are numerous special guests set to join the co-headliners from night-to-night.

The Diseased and Disguised tour kicked off on January 4 in Seattle, Washington and is set to hit over thirteen cities across North America through the end of the month before wrapping on January 30 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

Considered a leading group in the heavy metal genre, MIW have maintained a dedicated fan base since their formation in 2005. Not surprisingly, that loyalty has paid off through their live career and it’s no different during this co-headlining tour as the two acts have managed to sell out nearly every show.

While MIW have been known for a busy touring schedule, each show has been distinguishable in its composition. And with a co-headlining marquee currently above them, this run is just as unique as the last.

So what should fans expect to see on this current tour? Well, we have the inside scoop on all things the Diseased and Disguised tour! Check out our tour spoilers here!

What does Motionless In White’s current lineup look like?
While MIW’s lineup has changed over the years, many of the members like Chris "Motionless" Cerulli (lead vocals), Ryan Sitkowski (lead guitar), Ricky "Horror" Olson (rhythm guitar) and Vinny Mauro (drums) have been a part of the band for years. However, their most recent addition, Justin Morrow (bass), joined the group last year to round out the current act.

What is the significance of the tour name?
Considering this is a headlining tour, the name was chosen to reflect both main acts. MIW have been on their Disguise tour since 2019, named after their most recent album Disguise (2019). The Disease portion of the name is in reference to Beartooth’s most recent album Disease which was released at the end of 2018.

The announcement mentioned special guests. Who should we expect?
There are three special guests that will be joining the tour during specific dates. From now until January 15, Nothing Left will join the bill while Limbs will make an appearance from January 17 through the end of the run. Furthermore, Stick to Your Guns is slated to open in every city.

Any other surprises?
As of now, no further surprises have been announced. But don’t give up just yet! We wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few setlist curveballs or more surprise guests along the way.

What type of venues have they been playing at?
The tour has benefitted from relatively smaller venues. Thus far, the bands have played at mainly music halls and theaters.

How about the production?
The show's production has been quite impressive. Featuring multi-level stages and a complicated beam and strobe lighting setup, the overall production is sure to impress during every band's performance.

What has Motionless In White’s setlist looked like?
Since the tour is in promotion of MIW’s most recent album, it’s no surprise that most of their setlists have featured more songs off of Disguise than any other record. Additionally, expect a fair number of tracks off of Graveyard Shift (2017) and Reincarnate (2014) and limited content from the remainder of their albums.

Have there been many setlist changes?
While there have been some consistent staples at every show like “Reincarnate,” “Disguise,” “Brand New Numb” and “Necessary Evil,” MIW have thrown in plenty of one-offs in every city. Many songs played off of Disguise have remained on the setlist from night-to-night, while most others have been unpredictable.
