"Turning Away"

The band has been opening their shows the same way Order in Decline begins: with the riff-heavy and hard-charging "Turning Away." Frontman Deryck Whibley says it's one of the first songs he wrote for the record. "Musically, this is kind of my favourite song on the album," he said.

"I like all the directions it goes in. It’s got some riffs, it’s got a guitar solo, it’s fast, it’s got some slow parts and it’s got melodic stuff, it’s got some shouting and screaming ... it felt like the closing of a chapter, in a way, like putting everything in the past. The past five years, everything has been so new for me. It was sort of a song to close the years previous to that point. Songs have a way of working themselves out. I always feel like the music tells you what to do."

"Out for Blood"

Fans got their first taste of Order in Decline in April 2019, with the release of lead single "Out for Blood." The music video directed by Lee Levin depicts people lashing out in aggression over daily, mundane irritations like getting coffee spilled on them and having other people walk all over a floor that was freshly-mopped.

"Out for Blood" is the band's most-played song off the new album so far, having been played live 95 times since its debut.

"Fat Lip"

The song that started it all still has a solid spot on Sum 41's setlists -- usually saved for the end of the main set. "Fat Lip" was the breakout single from the group's debut album All Killer No Filler and remains their most successful single to date.

They've played it live more than any of their other songs -- 705 times and counting!

"Catching Fire"

The band has been saving this emotional Order in Decline ballad for last. "It’s a love song really, about how I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have my wife," Whibley said.

"Also again, in the subconscious there were things rattling around, including the rise in suicide ... And I was thinking, ‘I don’t know what I would do if I ever lost my wife.’ So it’s sort of a twisted love song in a way."
